Common Flavor Terms of Service
Last Updated: October 2026
Welcome to Common Flavor. These Terms of Service govern your use of our website, online store, products, services, and related features.
Throughout these Terms, “Common Flavor,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Common Flavor. By using our website or purchasing a product, you agree to these Terms and the applicable policies referenced within them, to the extent permitted by law.
Please read these Terms carefully before using our website or placing an order.
1. Online Store Terms
To place an order, you must be legally able to enter into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction or have a parent or legal guardian place the order on your behalf.
You may not use our products, website, or services for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose.
You may not transmit viruses, malicious code, or other material intended to disrupt, damage, or interfere with our website, systems, services, or other users.
A violation of these Terms may result in suspension or termination of access to our services.
2. General Conditions
We reserve the right to refuse service, cancel transactions, limit quantities, or restrict access when reasonably necessary, including in cases involving suspected fraud, abuse, obvious pricing errors, unauthorized resale, unlawful activity, or violations of these Terms.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue portions of the website or our services.
Product availability, pricing, promotions, and website content may change. Such changes do not remove our obligations relating to existing orders or your rights under applicable law.
3. Products and Services
Common Flavor creates and curates lifestyle-spirited merchandise for lifestyle-friendly people, with personality, style, and meaning beyond the surface.
Our selection may include CF Originals, made-to-order apparel, and merchandise supplied or fulfilled by third-party partners.
Some products may be manufactured, printed, stored, shipped, or fulfilled by independent suppliers, production providers, or fulfillment partners.
We make reasonable efforts to display product descriptions, dimensions, materials, colors, photographs, and other details accurately. However, appearance may vary slightly due to manufacturing processes, lighting, photography, screen settings, or other factors.
These variations do not excuse a defective product or an item that is materially different from its description.
We do not guarantee continuous availability of every product. We may discontinue products, update specifications for future orders, or limit available quantities.
4. Product Availability
Inventory and production availability can change. An item shown as available when an order is placed may occasionally become unavailable before fulfillment.
If we cannot fulfill an item, we may:
-
Contact you to discuss available options
-
Offer a comparable replacement with your approval
-
Cancel the affected item and refund the amount paid for it, including applicable taxes and shipping charges attributable to that item
We will not substitute a materially different product without your consent.
5. Pricing
Prices are displayed in U.S. dollars unless otherwise stated.
We may change prices for future purchases without notice. Prices shown at checkout apply to that transaction, subject to correction of obvious errors where permitted by law.
If a product is listed at an incorrect price because of a typographical, technical, supplier, or system error, we may cancel the affected order and refund the amount paid.
We will not charge a higher corrected price for an existing order without your agreement.
Discounts, promotional offers, and coupon codes may be subject to additional terms, expiration dates, product exclusions, or usage limits.
6. Orders
Submitting an order does not guarantee acceptance. An automated order confirmation acknowledges receipt of your order.
An order is considered accepted when we confirm that it has been accepted for production or fulfillment.
We may refuse or cancel an order for reasons including:
-
Suspected fraud or unauthorized payment
-
Obvious pricing or material product-information errors
-
Product unavailability
-
Violation of purchase limits
-
Suspected unauthorized resale
-
Inability to verify billing or shipping information
-
Violation of these Terms
If payment has already been collected for a canceled order, the applicable amount will be refunded to the original payment method.
7. Order Changes and Cancellations
If you need to change or cancel an order, contact us as soon as possible at sales@commonflavor.com.
Some orders are automatically transmitted to our fulfillment partners shortly after purchase. Made-to-order apparel, customized products, and print-on-demand merchandise may enter production quickly.
We cannot guarantee changes or cancellations once production, warehouse processing, or shipment has begun. This includes changes to size, color, design, quantity, or delivery address.
Submitting a request does not confirm that an order has been changed or canceled. We will notify you of the outcome.
These restrictions do not limit cancellation or refund rights provided by applicable law, including rights relating to shipping delays.
8. Shipping and Delivery
Processing and production time are separate from carrier transit time. Available estimates will be described on the product page, at checkout, or in our Shipping Policy.
Shipping and delivery estimates are provided in good faith and are not guaranteed unless expressly stated otherwise.
Because products may be produced or fulfilled by different partners, a single order may arrive in multiple shipments.
Delivery may be affected by carrier disruptions, weather, customs processing, production delays, address errors, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
If we cannot ship within the stated timeframe, we will provide any delay notice, cancellation option, and refund required by applicable law.
Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate shipping information. Please contact us promptly if you discover an address error.
Additional shipping terms are described in our Shipping Policy.
9. Returns and Refunds
Returns, exchanges, refunds, damaged items, defective merchandise, and final-sale items are governed by our Return & Refund Policy.
Eligible merchandise and made-to-order products may have different return conditions. Please review the applicable policy and product information before purchasing.
Contact Common Flavor before mailing any return. Return instructions and destinations may vary by item.
Do not send merchandise to a supplier, manufacturer, or address shown on the original package unless we specifically instruct you to do so.
10. Made-to-Order Apparel, Personalized Products, and CF Originals
Common Flavor apparel and certain CF Originals may be produced specifically after an order is placed.
Made-to-order apparel, personalized products, customized items, and print-on-demand merchandise are not eligible for standard returns or exchanges because you selected the wrong size or color, prefer a different fit, or changed your mind, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Please review product descriptions, garment measurements, and size information carefully before ordering.
If an item arrives damaged, defective, incorrectly printed, or in a different size, color, or style from what you ordered, contact us promptly at sales@commonflavor.com.
Please report issues with made-to-order apparel and print-on-demand merchandise within 30 calendar days of delivery, with the photographs and order information described in our Return & Refund Policy.
These terms do not limit mandatory consumer rights.
11. Taxes and Import Charges
Applicable sales tax and other transaction taxes may be calculated and collected at checkout based on the order, customer location, and applicable law.
For international orders, if offered in the future, customers are responsible for duties, customs charges, import taxes, or similar charges not collected at checkout when those charges are legally imposed on the recipient.
Any additional information about international shipping will be provided in our Shipping Policy. Common Flavor currently ships only within the United States.
12. Payments
Available payment methods are displayed at checkout. Payments may be processed through Shopify Payments or other payment providers.
By submitting payment information, you represent that you are authorized to use the selected payment method.
Payment processing may be subject to the separate terms, privacy practices, and security procedures of the applicable provider.
We do not guarantee that every payment method will remain available at all times.
13. Promotions and Discount Codes
Promotional codes and discounts:
-
May have expiration dates
-
May exclude certain products
-
May be limited to one use per customer or order
-
May not be combined unless expressly permitted
-
Have no cash value
-
May be modified or discontinued for future purchases where permitted by law
Abuse or unauthorized use of promotional offers may result in cancellation of the discount or affected order. If we cancel an order after collecting payment, the applicable amount will be refunded.
14. Gift Cards
Gift cards, if offered, are subject to any additional terms disclosed at purchase and applicable law.
Gift cards are not redeemable for cash except where required by law.
Lost or stolen gift cards may not be replaceable unless sufficient proof of purchase and ownership is provided.
15. Accuracy of Information
We make reasonable efforts to keep website information current and accurate.
However, information may occasionally contain errors, inaccuracies, omissions, or outdated details relating to:
-
Product descriptions and specifications
-
Pricing
-
Promotions
-
Shipping charges
-
Processing or transit times
-
Availability
We may correct errors and update information. If an error materially affects an existing order, we will contact you to discuss the appropriate resolution.
16. Third-Party Services and Fulfillment Partners
Our website and business operations may rely on third-party providers, including:
-
Shopify
-
Payment processors
-
Product suppliers and manufacturers
-
Print-on-demand providers
-
Warehousing and fulfillment partners
-
Shipping carriers
-
Analytics providers
-
Marketing and communications services
These providers may have their own terms and privacy policies governing their services.
Common Flavor remains your point of contact for purchases made through our store. Please contact us about order problems rather than arranging a return directly with a supplier.
Using third-party providers does not remove our obligations under these Terms, our published policies, or applicable consumer-protection laws.
17. Third-Party Links
Our website may contain links to third-party websites or services.
We do not control their content, availability, security, accuracy, policies, or practices.
Accessing a third-party website is at your discretion. Please review its terms and privacy policy before providing information or completing a transaction.
18. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, website content—including logos, brand marks, graphics, photographs, text, designs, product artwork, page layouts, and other original materials—is owned by or licensed to Common Flavor and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
Except as permitted by law or expressly authorized by us, you may not reproduce, distribute, modify, publish, sell, license, or commercially exploit these materials without prior written permission.
Names, logos, graphics, artwork, and designs associated with Common Flavor and affiliated NorthStar brands may not be used in a manner that falsely suggests endorsement, affiliation, or authorization.
19. User Comments, Reviews, and Submissions
If you submit a product review, photograph, comment, suggestion, or other content for publication, you represent that:
-
You have the right to submit the content
-
It is truthful to the best of your knowledge
-
It does not infringe another party’s rights
-
It is not unlawful, threatening, defamatory, deceptive, or malicious
-
You have any permission needed from identifiable people featured in the content
For content you submit for public display, you grant Common Flavor a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to reproduce, display, and share it for operating and promoting our business, to the extent permitted by law.
Private customer-service messages and photographs submitted solely to resolve an order issue are not treated as permission for public marketing use.
We may moderate or remove content that violates these Terms. We will not prohibit honest reviews merely because they are critical or unfavorable.
20. Prohibited Uses
You may not use our website or services:
-
For unlawful purposes
-
To violate applicable laws or regulations
-
To infringe intellectual-property rights
-
To harass, threaten, abuse, or unlawfully discriminate against others
-
To submit fraudulent or materially misleading information
-
To distribute malware or malicious code

To collect information about others unlawfully
-
To interfere with website security or functionality
-
To engage in automated scraping or data extraction except as permitted by law or authorized by us
-
To circumvent purchase limits, security measures, or access restrictions
-
To engage in fraudulent transactions
We may restrict or terminate access for prohibited conduct.
21. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the extent permitted by applicable law, our website and online services are provided on an “as available” basis.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free website operation.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, guarantees, remedies, product obligations, or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
22. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Common Flavor will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from use of the website or products purchased through it.
This limitation does not apply where prohibited by law and does not exclude liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or other liability that cannot legally be limited.
Nothing in this section limits rights or remedies available under mandatory consumer-protection laws.
23. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Common Flavor from third-party claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the website, violation of these Terms, or infringement of another party’s rights.
This provision does not require you to indemnify us for our own unlawful conduct or where such an obligation is prohibited by law.
24. Severability
If a provision of these Terms is determined to be unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable, it will be enforced only to the extent permitted by law.
The remaining provisions will continue in effect.
25. Waiver
Failure by Common Flavor to enforce a provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other right.
26. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms periodically.
The current version will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date. We will provide additional notice when required by law.
Updated Terms apply prospectively. They do not retroactively change the terms of an existing order without your agreement, except where required by law.
Your continued use of the website after revised Terms become effective constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
27. Governing Law
These Terms and transactions with Common Flavor are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Nothing in this section limits rights available under the mandatory consumer-protection laws of your place of residence.
